Former high school track athlete, college basketball player and currently a substitute teacher and mom of two boys
What’s your favorite workout? “I like to move through chippers without feeling rushed.”
How do you view fitness? “Fitness is super important for everyday living. It makes you feel better mentally and physically, plus we all know the amazing long-term health benefits. I know personally I’m super grumpy if I don’t get to get in and sweat a little. I love CrossFit because it’s different everyday so I don’t get bored. I’m always learning/practicing new things. Crossfit inspires me to keep going when I want to give up, and then other days, I feel like a super strong badass.?
Crossfit and being a CrossFit Trainer has made me more comfortable in my own skin and more willing to try new things. I’m healthier now at almost 40 than I ever was playing sports in school. And coaching is my absolute favorite! I love teaching people new things and seeing it all click into place when they try it. And I probably get more excited watching/helping athletes achieve a new skill or get a new PR than they do or even when I get one myself!
